WTT-Expo 2010 Fachmesse für industrielle Wärme-und Kältetechnik
Karlsruhe/Essen, 14 December 2009.WTT Expo – the Trade Fair for Industrial Heating and Cooling Technology (formerly the Trade Fair for Industrial Heat Exchanger and Heat Transfer Technology) sees a positive development in exhibitor numbers for its third edition to be held from 27 to 29 April 2010 at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre, which will also feature the first “Special Hose Technology Show”.
“Naturally we have also felt the effects of the crisis that has characterised 2009, particularly with regard to last minute bookings,” explains Harald Krüssmann of PP PUBLICO Publications, which is organising this event jointly with Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress- GmbH (KMK). “Many companies want to – and have to – wait to evaluate their situation at the end of 2009, in order to see what the consequences might be for their trade fair budgets in the coming year.
Overall, however, it can already be said that the decision to expand the product range covered by this event into the broad spectrum of industrial heat recovery (including the utilisation of ever more interesting industrial heat pumps) has proven to be the right one and is in keeping with the latest trends. The core theme of WTT Expo continues to be heat exchanger and heat transfer technology components and relevant suppliers and service providers. “Our newly added themes in particular have attracted a welcome number of new and potential exhibitors. We can certainly say that the outlook for this particular field of apparatus and plant engineering next year is increasingly positive. So the sector can take advantage of this event which for the first time has been scheduled for the spring,” says Krüssmann.
“We have also been able to attract the leading manufacturers to the ‘Special Hose Technology Show’, although naturally they are somewhat more cautious due to the fact that this show will be making its debut in 2010.”
In light of the current situation, the event’s organisers are expecting registrations to increase once again in the first months of 2010, especially as numerous exhibitors are now enjoying particularly good order books once again.
“On the visitor side, it will certainly prove beneficial that we were able to arrange for two guest events – AGFW – Heat Technology (trade fair for local and district heating) and ENKON dezentral (trade fair for local energy supply systems and services) – that take place in tandem with WTT Expo, offering a presentation on the theme of energy efficiency that is unrivalled in German-speaking countries,” explains Britta Wirtz, spokesperson of the Management Board of KMK.
All three trade fairs will be presenting an extensive accompanying programme in the Messe Karlsruhe Congress Center and at the “Forum” in the WTT Expo exhibition hall. Alongside TÜV Süd Industry Services, the Heat Transfer Research Institute (HTRI) and Wirtschaftsförderung Karlsruhe (Business Development Karlsruhe) will once again be holding an “Energy Forum” and a “Cooling Technology” conference with the support of the Testing and Education Centre for Heat Pump and Cooling Technology in Karlsruhe (TWK).
