Two parallel conferences - The International Compressor Engineering Conference at Purdue and the International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference at Purdue are organized by faculty from The Ray W. Herrick Laboratories with the help from many sponsoring and co-operating organizations from around the world. The conferences have taken place every two (2) years for over thirty (30) years on the campus of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
Their main focus is primarily on research and advanced development of components and systems.
These conferences provide the opportunity for practitioners and researchers in industry, government, consultants, laboratories and universities to reach a large audience where they can exchange current engineering information, problems and solutions on the important issues of compressor technology, new refrigerants and refrigeration technology and efficiency. They attract people from around the world.
