IFH/Intherm - Fachmesse für Sanitär, Heizung, Klima

IFH/Intherm is the leading HVAC trade fair in southern Germany, bringing together craft tradespeople, dealers, engineers, design planners and architects in a two-yearly cycle.

Always one step ahead - in 2010 the IFH/Intherm in Nuremberg will be focusing on energy efficiency. In addition to the classic areas of sanitation, heating and air conditioning, the area of renewable energies will be featured much more extensively than in 2008.

From April 14th - 17th, plumbers, heating engineers, wholesalers, design planners and solar energy experts can find out everything they need to know about modern, efficient and environmentally compatible technologies for modern heating systems. In the halls of the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, the entire range of innovative solutions relating to regenerative energies will be presented - from biomass systems, heat pumps and combined heat and power plants to pellet-based heating systems, solar heat and photovoltaics.

Efficiency and energy saving will play a key role at IFH/Intherm not just in the heating sector but also in the field of air conditioning technology.

At IFH/Intherm 2010, the sanitation industry will focus primarily on sustainable technologies, drinking water hygiene, barrier-free facilities and both luxury bathrooms and space-saving bathrooms. Exhibitors will also be presenting solutions to meet all current needs of the sanitary industry with a complete overview of products.

Over 600 companies - including all leading HVAC providers - registered three months before the start of IFH/Intherm 2010. They will already be taking up over 95 per cent of the entire hall space, a total of 36,500 square metres (net). This confirms the leading position of IFH/Intherm among the foremost regional HVAC trade fairs in Germany.

Top brands for IFH/Intherm 2008
For the first time, the IFH/Intherm show broke the 50,000 visitors mark in 2008. Almost 51,000 craftsmen, wholesalers, architects and planners attended the 17th IFH/Intherm show at the Nuremberg Fair site. Exhibitor numbers were also up at IFH/Intherm: in the eight halls 652 exhibitors from 19 different countries - including all market leaders - showed their complete ranges from the areas of plumbing, heating and air-conditioning technology, as well as regenerative energies. The growth in visitor and exhibitor numbers and the net increase in exhibition space occupation consolidate IFH/Intherm’s position as Germany’s largest regional plumbing, heating and air-conditioning technology trade fair.
Key topics: Renewable energy and energy efficiency
In 2008 the emphasis lay clearly on renewable energies. The extensive program ranged from solar thermal and photovoltaic technology , through thermal pumps and biomass to heating systems using logs, chipping and pellets. The leading role and competence of the IFH/Intherm show in dealing with alternative methods of energy production were also recognized by the German Ministry for Business and Technology (BMWi).This is why the BMWi listed the Nuremberg show as the only German fair in its "Renewable Energies Export initiative".
However, energy efficiency was a key concern not just in relation to heating technology. Climate conservation was also to the fore in the air-conditioning and ventilation sector, as well as plumbing technology. Another big attraction for visitors were the bathrooms and fittings with their timeless designs. The modern, barrier-free, high-quality exhibits left nothing to be desired when it came to individual bathroom design.
The next IFH/Intherm show will be held in Nuremberg from 14 to 17 April 2010.
